Breast enhancement or augmentation
is one of the most frequently performed cosmetic procedures
in the United States today. The intended results include
larger and shapelier breasts. It can quickly improve
your self image and your outward appearance in clothes. Your Surgery Breast augmentation, technically
known as augmentation mammaplasty, is a surgical procedure
to enhance the size and shape of a woman’s breast.
Your procedure is done on an outpatient basis under
general anesthesia. A small incision is made at the
natural crease of the breast, a pocket is created and
an implant is inserted under the breast tissue
and the underlying muscle. The procedure usually takes
less than an hour. Following your surgery, you will
return home in an elastic bra that helps hold your breasts
in the correct position. Your initial discomfort will
be controlled with oral medication and sutures are usually
removed in 12-14 days. An additional procedure that will
enhance the result if your breasts tend to sag is a
breast lift, technically known as Mastopexy.
